A Call to Repentance
Repent! unrepentant Israel
"Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”
Matthew 3:2

The people have forgotten the sound of the trumpet that brings warning. They have not been taught to understand the blast that tells them to prepare and seek refuge in the Lord. They have left their gates open and the watchman has been blinded. Israel has let the enemy with her walls and has not upheld the mandate of God to remain holy. She has become like the nations and fallen into greater levels of idolatry. The Lord is merciful and long-suffering but His grace will not be taken for granted. Israel must relearn the fear of the Lord and she will witness His wrath among the nations He uses as His vessels of discipline. In times of trouble, they will call upon the Lord; they rest upon their traditions and believe that their observances are enough to save them. But YHVH is coming back to judge His house, the people who are called by His name.
The prophets of YHVH have declared to Israel their sinful condition throughout the ages.
They blew the trumpet of warning and judgement, but also brought the message of hope and restoration, if only the people would return to the Lord. But Israel refused to listen. Amos 4.
They either killed the prophets or made them drunk with wine so that the word of God would be silenced. Israel’s punishment came as a result of rejecting their God and turning to their wicked ways. They went against the covenant agreement admonishing them not to be like the pagans, following their traditions and practises.
God brought the devastating locust in the form of invading armies and threw the people into exile. Israel was dispersed and the holy city of Jerusalem was destroyed. This is a persistent theme as God uses the sword, famine and pestilence to bring discipline to His wicked child.
God gave Israel the sacrifices to atone for individual, priestly and national sins. These were given to remind Israel of their sinful and persistent struggle with God. It would seem that as long as they could offer these sacrifices their efforts to remain holy would be token gestures.
The book of Amos tells us how YHVH no longer found acceptance in their sacrifices or their worshipful song — such was the abomination that the Lord found with their offerings. Calamity and catastrophe come as disciplinary measures to turn the people to repentance. This is recognised amongst the Jewish teachings.
Other prophets speak of God’s anger against the nation. The Holy Temple had become defiled because the priests had accepted the imperfect sacrifices and had abused the offerings of the people for personal gain.
So, YHVH left this ‘Holy Space’ never to return.
Yeshua, Jesus Christ, came to bring the final message and to be the fulfilment of the sacrificial law. If Israel accepted Him and the message of hope, they would no longer need to bring their sacrifices. Yeshua paid the ultimate penalty for their sin, but they rejected the gift of God - their redemption and restoration.
God chose to bring them through the path of trial and calamity because of their refusal. Though Israel is the chosen of God, the people remain in sin. The word says that they are perishing because they have rejected the knowledge of God and the teachers are incapable of bringing the revelation of His truth.
The Church is a reflection of Israel too, but her judgement will be the same as she is part of the Israel of God. This body of people came as fruit from Yeshua’s disciples and Israel rejected this fruit too. The Light of the world was not allowed to shine, and so darkness has increased.
We must realise that Israel today is a mix; there is false Israel which has been designed and manufactured by the desires and plans of man to create a dominating zionist antichrist system. This is supersessional Israel, and there is true Israel, in which the Israelite of God, including the ecclesia of Messiah, exists.
Yeshua tells us in His word, that He has come to set those who are captive free. Isaiah 61.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners.”
Yeshua reiterated this passage in Luke 4:18. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”.
Yeshua also declared that He has come for the ‘Lost sheep of Israel.’
Matt 15:24 But he answered and said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Israel is in mortal danger. The further if Israel is in the hand of our maker. Their rejection of Yeshua Messiah will allow the antichrist to usher in Jacobs's trouble.
Global persecution will arise and what will come will be unlike anything that has happened before.
It will affect the whole world which again includes the ecclesia, the true church of Christ.
The warnings in Matthew and Luke’s discourse are playing out in front of our eyes. The world is in meltdown. The days of Noah and Lot, if they are not already upon, are near.
Israel will be brought to her knees as will the nations around her, and those who have allied with her will also see devastation. Israel is the apple of God’s eye, and she must look to Him for safety and salvation.
We must pray for her eyes to be open, her heart of stone to be turned to flesh, and her stiff neck to bend in worship to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We must pray for her to see her sinful condition because she has rejected Messiah Yeshua.
We must pray for the timing of the Lord and the conditions He will bring so that Israel will cry out to Him.
We must pray for the regathering of the tribes of Israel so that the whole of Israel may be saved. Romans 11
We must pray, as the grafted-in branch for our older brother Judah that the two sticks of Joseph and Judah will become one..
Ezekiel 37
15Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 16“And you, son of man, take a single stick and write on it: ‘Belonging to Judah and to the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick and write on it: ‘Belonging to Joseph—the stick of Ephraim—and to all the house of Israel associated with him.’ 17 Then join them together into one stick, so that they become one in your hand.18 When your people ask you, ‘Won’t you explain to us what you mean by these?’ 19 you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel associated with him, and I will put them together with the stick of Judah. I will make them into a single stick, and they will become one in My hand.’
20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand and in full view of the people, 21 you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the Israelites out of the nations to which they have gone, and I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. Then they will no longer be two nations and will never again be divided into two kingdoms.
23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols or detestable images, or with any of their transgressions. I will save them from all their apostasies by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God. 24 My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances and keep and observe My statutes.
25 They will live in the land that I gave to My servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They will live there forever with their children and grandchildren, and My servant David will be their prince forever. 26 And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary among them forever. 27 My dwelling placed will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be My people. 28 Then the nations will know that I the LORD sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is among them forever.’ ”
Furthermore.
Zechariah 12 1This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:
2“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem.
3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.
Zechariah 14
1Behold, a day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence. 2. For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
3 Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south. 5 You will flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him.a
6 On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. 7 It will be a day known only to the LORD, without day or night; but when evening comes, there will be light.
8 And on that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the Eastern Seab and the other half toward the Western Sea, in summer and winter alike. 9 On that day the LORD will become King over all the earth—the LORD alone, and His name alone.
Amos 5
18 Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD!
What will the Day of the LORD be for you?
It will be darkness and not light.
19 It will be like a man who flees from a lion,
only to encounter a bear,
or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall,
only to be bitten by a snake.
20 Will not the Day of the LORD
be darkness and not light,
even gloom with no brightness in it?
21 “I hate, I despise your feasts!
I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22 Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
for your peace offerings of fattened cattle
I will have no regard.
23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 But let justice roll on like a river,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Joel 1
The Invasion of Locusts
1 This is the word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel:
2 Hear this, O elders;
and give ear, all who dwell in the land.
Has anything like this ever happened in your days
or in the days of your fathers?
3 Tell it to your children;
let your children tell it to their children,
and their children to the next generation.
4 What the devouring locust has left,
the swarming locust has eaten;
what the swarming locust has left,
the young locust has eaten;
and what the young locust has left,
the destroying locust has eaten.
Joel 1
13 Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests;
wail, O ministers of the altar.
Come, spend the night in sackcloth,
O ministers of my God,
because the grain and drink offerings
are withheld from the house of your God.
14 Consecrate a fast;
proclaim a solemn assembly!
Gather the elders
and all the residents of the land
to the house of the LORD your God,
and cry out to the LORD.
15 Alas for the day!
For the Day of the LORD is near,
and it will come
as destruction from the Almighty.
Habbakuk 1
..5“Look at the nations and observe—
be utterly astounded!
For I am doing a work in your days
that you would never believe
even if someone told you.
