It is the responsibility of this generation for this:
Psalm 22
..27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this. KJV.
What was shown to Abraham was a mystery. How would he become a father of nations and how from his loins will the seed of Christ come? Can you imagine being told this and not by some prophet but by God Himself?
The psalmist speaks of a time when a generation shall be born whose sole purpose is to declare the righteousness of God to the whole earth. We have in truth not seen this per se, because this final generation is yet to be born. This generation shall be the conclusion of the gathering of a nation, and when that time comes we will see a nation born in one day.
This nation shall be an obedient clan, who will understand God’s purposes for His kingdom, and they will move in the power of the unity of the Spirit because they have sought and seek nothing else but the mind of Christ. This generation of disciples will have denied themselves and have disregarded the cost of their calling.
In this hour, the prayer of generations, the true intercessors for the will of God will have piled up to immense proportions. There is always a counterbalance in the scales to this effort; it is Ha’Satan’s effort to undermine, dislodge, and divide the thoughts of the body by bringing distraction from the cause. In some parts, there has been a great strive toward maturity, but in others, there remains a considerable lack of immaturity which has caused the body to be overactive and fruitless.
Why? Because men have come into the flock like wolves in sheep’s clothing. Just read the book of Jude.
Despite this, the word of God cannot be stopped.
Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
There has been reasonable success, we can’t negate this wonderful thing but the body of Messiah finds itself weak in many parts; disunity is the malady.
Prayer & Prophecy
We must pray for these dislocated bones to come together. We must prophesy the breath of the life of the Spirit into its tired body, and loosen the bindings of the grips of death, just as Lazarus found freedom from his wrappings. We must repent and call out for freedom just as Israel did in Egypt — just as Lot did in Sodom. We must beseech wisdom to tie herself around our necks, and for her to write upon our hearts. We must seek the life of the Spirit.
Sometimes, a person may struggle under the hand of the physician. The sick person may seem to comply with the treatment, but when the needle approaches, panic sets in. No matter how they try, they just can’t keep still and want to jump off the bed, and so to proceed with the treatment, the physician must administer restraint.
This is the problem with the body. Christ is coming and God is going to judge and so it must justify its works by busyness. But God calls for restraint, for stillness, so that we can what? Know that He is God!
Busyness makes the silent voice of the master even harder to hear, my brethren.
The body of Messiah belongs to Him, but He sees it going astray like sheep.
Is this what the Lord says?
“These defiant ones, say, ‘We will go to this field or that one to find pasture; we will be defiant and go beyond the boundaries and we will not listen to the shepherd’s voice. They are arrogant and full of pride, rebels among the chosen ones — calling others to join them. They forsake the sacred gatherings and pollute the feasts teaching others to go astray. Turning away from wisdom, her garland has fallen from their necks and been caught in the brier. She calls out but her voice lands on deaf ears.”
“Repent, she calls. Call out for healing, cry out to your dry bones, call out to the breath of God for the new life, for the scales to fall from your eyes.”
‘“Your mouths speak riddles, and confusion — your minds are split. It seeks to communicate but it cannot. Because of your infidelity, I have caused your miscommunication says the Lord, and now you will not find me or hear my voice. You will hunger - Your chosen pasture will not feed you”.
Can a nation be saved?
We pray for our nation and the authorities, and this is right, but I can’t help but see how Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Was no one praying in these cities? When the earth was destroyed in Noah’s day, was no one praying for the earth? What we see is the righteous being saved. Such wicked times, cover the earth now. But just as many, who were not of the Israelite clans, saw the hands of God move amongst the gods of Egypt, the church needs to be reminded of who He is. That’s why so many in the first dispensation of God’s judgement upon Egypt, experienced them. The people had to be reminded of the God of Israel.
Is your nation a nation for God? If it is not then it is on course for judgement. That’s what the scriptures teach. By God’s grace, we find ourselves at a crossroads. In our defence, yes, we have reached out to a dying world, and yes we have proclaimed the goodness and greatness of God, to all, but in all sincerity what has remained? Has the fruit produced been good and has it born much more?
We see the decline of the power of the church because it has changed the times and the seasons of the Lord, sought to remove His name from His word, brought profanity into His house, lined the pockets of its priests and leaders, spread ignorance and caused many to err to their teachings from the doctrine of demons, and failed in truth, to open the full lens of the light upon the most sacred text, and thus we find a famine of the word. Blindness has come and power diminished, just as it was for Samson. The result is, that the flock leaves and goes to other pastures seeking their own pleasures.
This is what the Lord showed me. In our efforts to catch as many souls as possible, we have drawn in the dragnet at speed. When the fish see this they will try to escape from it because they see it as something unfamiliar to their surroundings. When the net is left a while, the fish become accustomed to it and thus when it is brought in slowly, they will tend to remain within the enclosure
Busyness and zeal are the net that draws in at speed and few fish are caught. In other words, ‘Patience will cause the word to fall like a gentle permeating rain, instead of like a storm.
Talks of War
Reports in Sweden have been proliferating regarding its preparation of its citizens for war with Russia. There are too many reports to cite but here are a few:
In the UK, there have already been similar concerns and proposals raised. Looking at a depleted military force, the UK it is suggested, should be prepared to call up reservists and recruit the populous up to the age of 60.
Could this truly be a reality for many of Generation Z. It has been nearly 80 years since our nation went to war as a united people. We saw then, the problem and the evil that must be fought. Great Britain could have been considered a praying nation back then. But what of today? The nation is divided in so many ways, not least religiously. Generations have been brought up to desist from fighting, and embrace multiculturalism, and wokeism has nothing but provided soft caresses and protection from the realities of the real world. Furthermore, the minds of the young have been indoctrinated to subdue any truth that rocks their virtual worlds.
How can such a generation defend the truth and this nation's people, if everything to them has become subjective?
If there is a call to fight, then how many do you think will be ready to bear arms? Will the result be protests and anarchy? Will it be like so many of the demonstrations we find today over the global conflicts that pervade the earth, and will they be reminiscent of the American protests over Vietnam in the 1950s and 1970s, when so many of its fighting men and veterans received the backlash of the hippy youth cults, who forgot that they could pursue their ideals because of what these men gave themselves for?
How ironic that this Gen Z has forgotten how their freedoms were won. What a shock they will get when this looming prospect of the apocalypse becomes a reality. It won’t be something to stand and take pictures of on their mobile phones. I think in truth, it will be a shock for us all.
However, on a more sombre note, it does seem that generations with time must experience some catastrophe to awaken the survival instinct and define who they are.
Can calamity be avoided and will repentance continue to draw God’s attention? The answer to both these questions is, yes! Both are subject to each other. God has to judge sin and must forgive when true repentance is presented to Him. Doing neither is not in His nature. When it comes to repentance, however, the onus is upon a people who are called by His name. These are His covenant people and the covenant declares that forgiveness comes when genuine repentance is accepted.
The protocol in the spirit of repentance begins in the individual who lives by the Spirit. This is an upward calling for a downward response, and thus we see that repentance must be sought by those in authority. Corruption began in the heights and fell to earth and thus judgement will begin in the house of the Lord.
King Manasseh son of Hezekiah, brought sweeping reforms to his father’s good works. In turning away from the sanctity between a king and his God, he plunged the nation into deep rebellion and idolatry. This was the worst time for Israel, and Manasseh was thus considered one, if not the worst king of Israel. His repentance came through calamitous events. He was captured by his enemy.
2 Chronicles 33:10-20. The LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they did not listen. So the LORD brought the king of Assyria's army commanders to attack Judah. They captured Manasseh, put hooks in him, placed bronze chains on his hands, and took him to Babylon.
His repentance can be read from verses 12-20.
As a result, the nation turned back to God. Could this be possible today?
There is going to be judgment thus far unseen upon the earth. Why so greater judgment? Because sin has piled up, sin upon sin, and the people of God have His Spirit in them. If we see that His Spirit has been ignored and His cries for our repentance have gone unnoticed then the hammer will come down harder when the sentence is announced.
You might argue that there is now no condemnation on those who are in Christ, but this remark pertains to those who have received salvation. This judgement is upon the wicked.
God’s people are also rulers and princes in His Kingdom, and thus great responsibility is thrust upon them. True rulers are a peculiar people. God’s people are also called to prophesy to the nations and bring warning, and God’s leaders must prepare the people for the judgement and in the prayers that precede the outpouring of judgment. Christ is being prepared to establish His millennial reign and we are called to prepare the way. The collateral damage will depend on how we have prepared.
I feel that the Lord is saying, ‘Come on, stop dragging your feet!’
When it comes to this fight, we should be a people who are used to battle, but we have not engaged in the fulness of the war against the principalities in heavenly places. That has been our task, and I believe we have only succeeded in part. Why? Because only a small part of the body has been active in it when it should have been the whole of the body. We are not in the ‘rest’ of God so we shouldn’t act as if we are. That has been the lie.
There is much more ground to take. However, by God’s grace, we see that there is called, for this fight, a battalion of elite troops. We see this in Joshua’s and Gideon’s story in greater detail. In those days, it was left to physical people to fight physical wars too, but our battle as those who are in Christ, is to fight a battle on two fronts. Unfortunately, spiritual eyes have some refocusing to do and the hands that should be trained for war need a few callouses.
For a nation to receive forgiveness, leaders must return to God and establish a new order, overriding the previous reign of evil dictators. The fear of the Lord must return and be taught to His divided and pampered generation.
Darkness is coming as a thick sheet that will overwhelm us like a great wave. The most precious things we value will be swept away in its tsunami. Many will lose hope and wish they were dead. But that’s the easy way out my friends. The living must learn, and learn to trust when all hope is gone, but those in Christ will be saved.
In the real physical world, that is, many will seek their ‘own personal’ survival. They will come against family and friends, putting their own needs first. We must refrain from responding in this evil manner. It will be all hands on deck as we seek to save the lost and our family of faith.
In this window of opportunity, God is calling us to repent and unite, now! This is a ‘verily, verily’, moment you could say. God is not intimating that all of this is a good idea; He is serious. He is saying, ‘repent’.
We must trust in Him for this great move. God is telling us not to repeat the rebellion in the wilderness if we are to find peace.
Soon and very soon, as the song says, we will see a crumbling of kingdoms, it has already begun —the removal of the wicked shepherds and the destruction of nations. The true church is rising. But the remnant must stand up and say, ‘send us Lord’. It all comes at a cost and God knows all about that.
Repentance means that we must be absolutely resolved in returning to God’s law. We can do this in the wonderful unique way of seeking the mind of Christ. We turn from adultery, idolatry, profanity, immorality, unbelief and doubt. We must turn to truth, from the made-up doctrines of men. We must turn from our ignorance and we must grow up.
From now to Passover, is our window of opportunity. In the text, we read that the first three judgments upon Egypt, we experienced by Israel. Why? Because they had to be reminded of their God. God showed them and all of Egypt, including the man god Pharaoh, who really was in charge. In this window of opportunity, we have the chance to begin some serious house cleaning, look to our hearts, and prove to our God that we are serious.
The night of the Passover is coming again and we must prepare and not delay. If no one will join you, then stand on your own. You won’t be alone. The bond of the Spirit will join you with others in this mega shift.
Hebrews 3:5-19
5 Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; 6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.
7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,
“Today if you hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me,As on the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 Where your fathers put Me to the test,And saw My works for forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with this generation,And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,And they did not know My ways’;
11 As I swore in My anger,‘They certainly shall not enter My rest.’”
The Danger of Unbelief
12 Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our [e]commitment firm until the end, 15 while it is said,
“Today if you hear His voice,Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.”
16 For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19 And so we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
